Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Warehouse Material Handler for an immediate, temporary opportunity with a well-established company in the Grand Rapids area!

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on warehouse work, has experience operating forklifts and material handling equipment, and takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly.

You'll play an important role in supporting daily production, managing inventory, and ensuring materials and finished products are accurately handled and ready for shipment. This position is expected to last about 8 - 10 weeks and starts immediately!

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to safely move materials throughout the facility.
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Pick, organize, and stage materials needed for production.
• Prepare finished products for shipping, including packaging, labeling, and palletizing.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and complete required documentation.
• Use inventory systems to track materials and fulfill orders.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and follow established safety procedures.
• Coordinate with production and warehouse team members to maintain an efficient workflow.
• Keep warehouse and work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of warehouse, material handling, or related experience.
• Previous forklift or powered industrial equipment experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory control, or order fulfillment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to accurately enter and track information.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain productivity.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.
